• Any runescape player can make millions. - I made more than 100 million Gp in less than 2months. - The methods I have used are simple, but relative few people have recognized their gains. - Thanks to several 100+ level friends that have helped me write this guide. - You need to read the whole guide before you start! Basic Hints - It is often the case that you can sell an item for a lot more if it is on a member server. So becoming a Runescape Member is encouraged! - If you want to make millions, the forums are a gold mine! The forums available at www.runescape.com allow 1000’s of potential buyers to see what you are selling at minimal effort. This is many more than in the game, and saves the time you are waiting for a buyer. It means that you can hold auctions where, if the demand is high enough, the prices offered for your items escalates and you may be able to sell for a lot more than intended. - If you don’t intend to buy or sell in the game. Choose the most busy banks and places to make sure you get the most potential customers! These are World 1 Varrock West (Free players) and World 2 Falador East (Members). Also picking the most popular times to sell increases your customers, E.g. 4-6pm, and 10-12pm UK time. - Remember the character name of buyers, As they are often interested in buying more of the same item in the future! Let’s cut to the chase, the key to making money on Runescape is MERCHANTING. Merchanting is simply buying items for cheap, and selling them on for more. In this guide I will start off with the techniques that even the lowest of levels can use, before moving onto the highest paid techniques, which can earn you millions for minutes of work if you’re good! LOW LEVEL/INVESTMENT TECHNIQUES NO INVESTMENT: - If you literally have no money on runescape the quickest way to make money, in my option, is to mine rune essence. - To do this simply go to the rune shop in east of Varrock. Here you can be teleported by the shop owner to an area to mine rune essence Use a pick up axe on the rune essence to collect a whole inventory. Take it to the closest bank (Varrock East) and deposit it. When you have enough the essence can be sold for 20-25Gp each. So if you mine 1000 you make 25k! Another good thing to collect are Unids (members) and big bones which sell for 1k and 300Gp each respectively. MINIMAL INVESTMENT /50K+ - Follow these 5 steps to make your money: - Set yourself up in west bank Varrock-World 1 (this is very important as f2p people sell them for less than members- I never buy off members) - Stand in a place where as many people as possible can see you. - Type Green: buying all natures (Green: make type green so people can see easier) - Do not state price buying for as this varies depending on amount (see buying section) - Wait for people to trade! “Remember to buy ANY amount as it will be unlikely to get 1000 cheap at once” BUYING At the present time buying 1K Natures you should be easily get 350 - 400GP each. Therefore if you re buying natures, anything less than 350Gp will yield a profit. The lower the price you pay, the more profit but you have to give a reasonable amount or people will not sell. The rough outlines I use are- • 1-99 Natures, buy at 250 each. • 100-400 buy at 400 each. • 400+ offer 300 each and 330 if they decline. OTHER LOW LEVEL INVESTMENT GOOD MERCHANTING ITEMS ARE: • Big bones. Can be sold at 350-400Gp each. Advised buying price 250-300. • Limpwurt Roots- Can be sold up to 1k on member’s forums. Advised buying price 350-400Gp. This means you can easily quite DOUBLE YOUR MONEY!!! • Rune essence: can be sold for 35Gp each on member’s servers if a lot are obtained. Advised buying price 20Gp. Remember - If you know you can sell something at a certain price, if you can buy it for anything less than that price, you will be making money when you sell it on! There is a slight risk involved when choosing the prices so try so try and buy thing for as cheap as possible. Repeat this buying and selling stuff and watch your money grow! Profit table example If you buy natures at 300 each and sell at 400 each:
Note: • Usually, the more of an item you buy, the more money you make. A good investment would be to buy about 1-2k of the items listed as good Merchanting items above so it is best if you have 300- 700k to invest. • Try and sell items in 1k intervals E.g. 1k, 2k, 3k, 5k etc. • Always have a calculator present so you can add up the Gp to Give/Receive. Colored Gloves After completing the priest in pearl member’s quest, you can buy colored gloves from werewolf village. The gloves cost just 650Gp each! To make money off them buy a lot (red and gold are most popular) and sell to non members on world one for between 2-5K. You could make over 700% profits on each glove! If you want to buy more gloves than available in the shops at any time, simply switch worlds and you will find that there are more in the other worlds for you to buy. Chaos and Death Runes Although this is a time consuming way of making money, it really does work! The reason begin is that these runes are often sold out in the rune shop in varrock so player pay large prices for large numbers. All you have to do is buy large numbers of these runes from the shop and sell them on. Do this by: • Going to varrock rune shop with all the money you would like to invest. Buy all the deaths and chaos you want (death make a bigger profit) or are available. • If you want, keep switching worlds as the shops are individual to each world, so one can have a lot and they other can have very little. Repeat this process until your happy that you have enough chaos and death runes. • At the present time chaos can be sold for 175Gp (making 85Gp profit on each run you buy!) and deaths can be sold for 400Gp (making 220Gp on each one you buy) • Remember the easiest way to sell is on the runescape forums. Make a post in the “Runes” section and watch the buyers come in!! Big Rune Hint!!! If you are a level 66+ mage (level 63 mage with a wizard mind bomb) you can enter into the member’s magic guild in Yanille. Hears you can buy Laws for 240Gp, they can be sold up to 1k but usually 350Gp. And blood can also be brought on for a profit. A good tip is to buy Blood, chaos, death and law runes. These will all sell for a profit, death will get the most profit followed by laws. Tip: Remember, if you want to buy these runes as fast as possible, make sure you go into the world with the least people in, at a time where there are least people online, this will increase the chances of there being many runes on. Higher level investment 300k+ Unids members (Unids=unidentified herbs) I make millions a day using this method so listen up! A great way of making money is to buy unidentified herbs. These can easily be bought for 1k and you’ll have no trouble finding sellers. But in bulk, I have bought these for 1k and sold them for 2k! Making a profit of 1million in 1-2hrs. Vital information: People look to buy stack of 11 that are quite evenly distributed. So remember, buy 7 stacks or more which are quite even. IDENTIFYING UNIDS If you have a high level Herblore you can also make money through identifying them and selling them identified! Plus you’ll gain all that extra herblore XP! To find out what type of herb a “stack” is id one and remember which stack it came from. Unid Guams Not worth Identifying as can only be sold for 400Gp. Try to sell these to someone in unid form for 1k per. Unid Marrentil Not worth Identifying as can only be sold for 300Gp. Try to sell these to someone in unid form for 1k per. Unid Tarromin Not worth Identifying as can only be sold for 700Gp. Try to sell these to someone in unid form for 1k per. Unid Harlander Can be sold for 1-1.2k each! So are worth identifying before selling! Unid Ranner Can be sold for 5K each. So are worth identifying. You would have increased the money made by buying the unids by 5times! Unid Irit Can be sold for 2-2.5K each! So are worth identifying! Unid Avantoe Can be sold for 2-2.5k each. So are worth identifying! Unid Kwuarm Can be sold for 3k each. So are worth identifying! Unid Cadantine Can be sold for 2-3k each. So are worth identifying! Unid Dwarf Weed Can be sold for 3-4k each. So are worth identifying! Unid Ladytymes Can be sold for 4-5k each. So are worth identifying! Although this may see like you are making more profit than selling them as unids, it is not always the case. You will always have more of the lower herbs (worth 300GP) and less of the highest. So again I urge you to buy evenly distributed piles/stacks and make sure there are at least 7 or more! I think that by identifying the herbs and selling them as unids will result in roughly the same profit, although if you do identifying them it will take longer, you will get XP! Unidentified herbs over a certain level Unid herbs that are over a certain herblore are worth more than standard unids. Being above a certain level means that someone with a level 24 herblore level can sell all the unids he cannot identify as “unids above ranner or above” In large quantities “Ranner and above unids” can easily go for 2-3k each. If you have a high enough herblore level, you can identify one unid from each of your stacks and remember which stack corresponds to which type of herb. From this you can order them and sell them as normal unids or “unid over a certain type”. To find out the order of unids, click on herblore on your in game skill page. A herblore unid trick! If you are buying unids that the seller says are, for example, “Ranner and above” There is a good chance that they might not be telling you the truth as they wont be able to tell you what level they are until you have identified them. By this time they would have probably run off with your money! Here is a way to avoid this scam (known as anti-scam) 1) Have at least one unid of each type in your bank. Order them from worse to best and write down the type of herb and unid stack is. 2) If the seller were to say he is selling unids “Ranner and above” Put your unids that are “ranner and above” in your inventory in note from. 3) Next fill up the rest of the inventory with other items (not unids!) so that there is no more space. 4) From this, if you reach the second trade screen, then the seller must be telling the truth because if his herbs were not “Ranner and above” then there would be no space and the trade would be cancel. 5) Press accept and the seller Unids would go “on top” of the current number of unids because they are of the same type. YOU’LL NEVER GET SCAMMED THIS WAY IN HERBLORE AGAIN! If you are high enough level you can also may the herbs you buy into potions and sell them on for more. Currently, super sets (super defence, attack and strength), anti-fire, and prayer potion are the best selling. Ok, we are now on the expert section! These are the methods that got me my full dragon armour, my party hat set, and much more. But BEWARE; these techniques require skill and precision! THE ULTIMATE BIG MONEY MAKING High risk, High Stakes, High Fun! Using this method is basically gambling, but gambling where; if you are good enough, you have a very good chance of making millions! I have made 1million GP+ from 30minutes play from this method! Important things to remember whilst using the methods below: - Always monitor the prices of items using the runescape forums and find out which items are in demand and which have fallen. - They involve a risk, but these items do not often drop in price by that much so if you monitor the forums regularly, you should be able to sell before the price crash. - Always buy and sell the items on the forums, as it is faster and more efficient. Holiday Drops These drops were on special holidays during the year and dropped on only one day, so they are Ultra-rare. They include: - PARTY HATS - HALLOWEEN MASKS - SANTA HATS As time goes on, people may drop them, there accounts may be frozen or their player may get banned. This means that there are gradually less of these holiday drops available! More and more players are fast becoming richer, so the demand for these items is increasing as the amount available is decreasing. This means that it is often a worthwhile investment, one of these items, as their price, over time, is guaranteed to rise! Example - When they came out, party hats were sold for as little as 20k. They are now sold for 200 million for the best colors. So if you have some money it seems worth it to invest in some of these items and watch the price gradually grow. Halloween mask and party hats have been rocketing in price for these last few weeks. The prices may dip and dive sometimes but the net effect is often that the price increases over time. MERCHANTING OTHER EXPENSIVE ITEMS Items that are rare monster drops, but can still be achieved all the time as more and more people get the drop and there are less people that want to buy the item! You can, however, use this to your advantage! Example: The Abysmal Whip These items are a very rare drop and can only be achieved by people with a level of 85+ slayer. As more and more people reach level 85 slayer, while there are less and less people that need a whip, the price decreases over time. You should look out for the SUDDEN DROPS in price. These happen as people who have the whip are desperately trying to sell theirs before the price decreases. If several people are doing this at once, the price may rapidly “drop” by up to 1million in 1 day. It is time that I act, that I buy a whip when it has reached its lowest price. The quick reason in drop may does not comply with the demand/supply of the item and is only caused by desperate people trying to sell, so I often find that by the next day, the price has rocketed back to where it should be. At this time, I sell the item and collect the well deserved profit. I have actually done this twice using abysmal whip and earned myself and profit of over 2millionGP! But is it not just this item that you can make a profit from, experiment with other ones. Believe me, there are a lot of there! Basically after an unnatural drop in price, the price usually skyrockets back up to what it “naturally” should be! But using this method is risky but means that I can make about 1million Gp in about 30minutes work: Buying the whip, monitoring the price every once in a while over the next day, and selling when the price return to normal. Now that I have millions of GP, I usually employ the “Merchanting expensive items” technique as it is extremely fast and I can afford to take the risk. Guide submitted by: xtreamesk8er |
